What is End-to-End Encryption?
Security is essential for the service that WhatsApp® offers. We have seen many cases in which criminal hackers have obtained a large amount of private information illegally and abused technology to cause harm to the people whose information they stole. Since the end-to-end encryption implementation was completed in 2016, digital security has become even more important.
Cryptographic Padlock Security
WhatsApp® has no way of listening to calls or seeing the content of messages that are end-to-end encrypted. This is because the encryption and decryption of messages sent and received through WhatsApp® occurs entirely on your device. Before a message leaves your device, it is secured with a cryptographic lock, of which only the recipient has the key. Also, the keys change with each message that is sent. All of this happens in the background, but you can confirm that your conversations are protected by checking the security verification code on your phone.
